Minutes from mountains and waterfalls. Award winning parks, trails, and recreation.

Home to manufacturing headquarters, innovative tech firms, and nationally acclaimed educational and healthcare research.

A main street envied by cities nationwide – and a budding arts and foodie culture to match.

The real question is: why not Greenville?

Greenville has never been a city that stands idly by.

Our earliest settlers braved the unknown and planted their roots off the beaten path. Within a few generations, Greenville became known around the globe as the Textile Capital of the World – home to more textile manufacturing than any other city on earth. The decline in textiles brought the opportunity for multiple North American headquarters for internationally recognized brands like Michelin and BMW.

But don’t let that lead you to think we’re all work and no play.

We’re only a few hours or less from world class beaches, skiing, and sporting events (including two of the best collegiate football teams in the land).

Recently ranked in the top three travel destinations by Men’s Health, our 17-mile Swamp Rabbit Trail greenway is the centerpiece of countless recreational opportunities centered in downtown Greenville.

The Greenville Drive baseball team (a Boston Red Sox affiliate) and Road Warriors hockey provide sports action while our theatres showcase local talent to Broadway shows.

That’s a lot to nestle in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains…and yet we’re still
a great Southern town with loads of opportunity.

We’re not alone in thinking so highly of Greenville… our recent accolades include:

  • America’s Ten Best Downtowns by Forbes Magazine

  • A Best Town by Outside Magazine

  • 2nd Best Micro-city of the future by FDI Intelligence

  • Ranked 2nd as a “Best City for Jobs” in a ManpowerGroup survey
