Collin is from Florence, SC. The only child of Zenobia and Gerard Edwards, Collin started off in the International Baccalaureate Program at Wilson High School then transferred to the Governor’s School for Science and Mathematics in Hartsville, SC. It was at Governor’s School that Collin was first exposed to entrepreneurship and innovation. Upon his graduation from Governor’s School, he decided to enroll at Clemson University and study Industrial Engineering and Business Administration. While in college, he has joined a fraternity, Alpha Phi Alpha, and started his own company, Ventful.

Ventful is an event-planning system that seeks to enhance the experience of finding, creating, and sharing events. Ventful consists of both a mobile app and a service for users looking to improve event promotion and marketing. Users can easily find new events and friends throughout the app.

When asked about the mission of Ventful, Collin says,

“Ventful’s mission is to give everyone the ability to have a good time! I aspire to make Ventful a leading company with changing people’s lives by helping them build more good memories and giving people jobs.  We are currently beta testing and the app is currently available on the App Store.”

We asked Collin to answer a few questions about himself- here are his answers!
