Claim drafting may be the most important part of protecting your invention. Learn the basics of claim drafting from USPTO Primary Patent Examiners in this interactive workshop. You will develop a better appreciation of how a patent examiner views a claim during the course of examination.

After more than a decade of examining Fuel Cell & Battery patents in the 1720s art unit and becoming a primary examiner in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Stephen Yanchuk has been selected to participate in the Eastern Regional Outreach Office of the USPTO as a special advisor. The tasks and efforts support the strategic direction of the Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the USPTO. One major component of the outreach is to engage with the USPTO’s East Coast stakeholders. Focusing on the region and actively engaging with the community, Mr. Yanchuk ensures the USPTO’s initiatives and programs are tailored to the region’s unique ecosystem of industries and stakeholders.
